HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
What better way to spend the lovely day then to make a few bucks so you’re able to take that special someone out to eat tonight, or even buy some over priced roses that will be half off tomorrow! Enjoy
8-6-7 HOLY SCAT has run back to back really good races for Dane Kobiskie, showing versatile running styles. Without much pace in this race expect her to be a little closer then in her last race. Repeat wins this. Someone who may show some speed is NAVAJO KITTEN coming off a 5f sprint. Has some races in her past that can win this. RESPONSIVE has just plodded around last out, losing to Holy Scat. Don’t know she wants to pass horses down the stretch.
6-5-8 When in doubt, go with Chad! DEGRESS OF FREEDOM had a horrible start but took some money so he might have been well meant. Chad is 28% 2nd start and his breeding says he should be better. SPRING MTN MIST, steadied in her debut but that didn’t cost her the win, drops to a lower level and with a few 3/8 works should be more involved early. LOVBELIA has great turf pedigree and made a nice run against cheaper sprinting on dirt, if she likes turf, would be a nice longshot.
6-9-4 YOU LIE, is interesting going back to turf, after all dirt in his recent form,. His turf sprint at Belmont was really good and would be tough here if duplicated. keeps the hot riding Saez. INDIAN SPLEDOR needed the last race and should be tight for this. Jason Servis excels with turf sprinters with a 25% win rate. Longshot SWEET BUTTERFLY, has a look of someone always in contention, stepping up in class, but if she runs her race, she could get a piece from right off the pace.
9-8-5 DEFICIT REDUCTION wont offer much value, but ran decent race for 50k last time and now drops to 35 where he should be tough. You couldn’t have a much better turf pedigree then KID JETER does, now he finally gets to run on it for a good turf trainer. BIBBO showed promise in his MSW debut, then didn’t like the aqueduct inner track and lost all chance when checked in his last. Now Mott drops him to 35 and with a clean trip should be involved at the end.
4-8-9 Pletcher first timer ADORNMENT has a nice steady line of works for Todd who can get them ready first time. Love the work 2 back. PAOLA QUEEN ran huge in her last at long odds, last work’s shows she’s still on top of her game. Repeat performance should be enough her. VERVES TALE ran a good one first out and then disappointed at 4/5 finishing 2nd by 18 lengths. Little vacation and some nice works at Palm Meadows might have her ready first time back.
9-3-4 Ultra hot LAYTHATPISTOLDOWN has won 5 of his last 7. Usually forwardly placed, which is good on this turf course, should be tough with the class step up. 2 Long layoff returners CIRCUS PERFORMER and SMOKEN KITTEN, both showed great potential early in their careers before injury sidelined them both. With a lot of speed signed on here Circus Performer is the one id prefer of the two, with his closing style.
$.50 late Pick 4 3-5-9-12/7-9/6-7/3-5-9 24$
7-9-5 Probably needing the race NEVER SO FEW, a son of g1 champion Rags to Riches, just plodded around. With Galieo as his daddy, he should relish the turf and I love the steady series of works following the debut,. Will be tough. DARK GEMINI comes off a short vacation and has some really nice works for George Weaver, also first time Lasix should get him over the hump. CITY FLYER has been running consistent numbers but doersnt show the needed kick in the lane to get the job done.
6-7-3 Going out on a limb here in the stakes, with a ton of early speed in the race heavy favorite STONETASTIC might have a hard time getting the lead, and after watching her last, she didn’t handle rating so well. MISS MELINDA goes for Wolfson who is so good with these sprinting mares. Two very sharp works shows she’s ready and deep closer might get a perfect pace set up here. Same can be said for Ida Bambina, first dirt try was really good, just missing by a neck.
5-9-3 Off a long layoff IMAGINARY ROAD has his work cut out for himself. If hes ready (he’s run well fresh) he will be super tough on the drop in class. I like his midpack style. MARKET OUTLOOK showed tons of potential early on career, but hasn’t done a lot after the claim by Ian Wilkes. TINTO MESA has two turf races in his past that show that he likes it, going back to it after two off the turf tries here recently.
