Here are a few plays for today from aqueduct and gulfstream, good luck!
Aqueduct, Race 3
5-4-2 After trouble in his last race down the backside put him further back then he wanted to be, MARRIAGE FEVER, ran on credibly to be 4th after winning his last. He should sit right off the pace and make first run on the leaders. MORDI’S MIRACLE is stretching back out to two turns and should be involved early with BOX OFFICE, and the returning WINTER GAMES, who might soften each other up.
Aqueduct Race 8
3-5-6 With what I see as a significant amount of speed in this race I’m leaning towards the closing HERE COMES ROSIE to be charging late. Maiden breaker was impressive, loved her 2 turn try last back, and Englehart is 24% off this short freshening. THE NAMES PADDY and LOVE YOU BABE, are two horses I think should also be coming late to pick up minor awards.
Gulfstream Park Race 4
8-7-5 ROCKIN RONDA was visually impressive winning last time out after trailing 12 lengths. Even with the trouble 2 back, she’s run 3 straight races that would be competitive here. WHOS THAT CHICK, should be close to a soft pace, but I don’t know she wants to go this far and might be vulnerable late. SUMMERS BACK has some intrigue but might be a cut below, could clunk up for some minors.
Gulfstream Park Race 6
8-6-2 STAR CONTENDER ran an improved race when dropped to this level last time here at Gulfstream, if he runs back to that race he will be tough to deal with for Mark Casse. GUNDERSON was behind STAR CONTENDER last time they met, and might get caught again as he’s been known to get tired down the lane. QUIET FORCE had a dream set up last out with fast fractions to run into and still couldn’t produce, his best makes him tough but he might just be a plodder.
Gulfstream Park Race 8
3-9-1 Loved SON OF OAHUs comeback going long here. Steady closer was facing tougher fields in KY before the vacation and should be coming home strong. Same can be said for LOTTERY TICKET, longer vacation, probably needed the race and should be tough right back for Ralph Nicks. Probable favorite BOKEELIA ISLAND looks vulnerable to me, I think he wants longer, as well as could need a race and might be over bet off that last race.
Gulfstream Park Race 9
8-2-6 Dropping out of a state bred stakes into this optional claimer/starter event should suit PRINCE VINCENZO well, ran well at long odds and should be a better fit with this group. ELEMENT looks like a contender in here, but one has to wonder why they decide to drop in for 50k? MOONLIGHT BANDIT showed promise in his early career, enough that the owners put him on the derby trail, his best races have been on turf and his last rqace makes him very tough in here.
